    TOP CAP DESIGN

National has developed custom-designed wall-to-ceiling attachments to accommodate the varied conditions required, whatever the condition may require special fabricated designs are available.

    HEADER PANELS

Where ducts, plumbing etc. run along the ceiling small header panels are provided. These header panels are easy to handle and are faced in aluminum or steel allowing easy cutting for ducts, pipes, etc. with hand tools. Custom cover plates and various gasketing materials are available to seal around cut outs.

    Feature and benefits:

    Specifications:

Walls up to 40 feet in seamless height... Allows for the fastest and cleanest looking installations for quick start up time. 3" to 6" thick 3-ply sandwich construction. Facings of durable 26 gauge G90 hot-dip galvanized steel with "maintenance free" stucco embossed pattern. Pre-painted with baked acrylic enamel for a long lasting finish. Thermal insulated core of polystyrene or optional isocyanurate for energy efficiency up to R-44.

Connecting Posts - Made from rugged, pre-finished 20 gauge steel. Two-piece design connected with bolts on 24" centers gives a non-progressive design which allows the removal of individual panels when needed. Trimmed with painted 26 gauge steel feature fillers that snap into posts on each side to conceal the fasteners. These posts also function as a housing for structural inserts for roof load requirements or to conceal any type of wiring needed for the structure. Progressive anodized aluminum H-mull posts are optional.

New - Clean-LineÔ design eliminates the need for any post or panel connection with its unique hidden spline system. The look is a single seam between panels, which can be sealed if necessary. This stream lined system offers a substantial reduction in wall costs.

Base Channels - Continuous painted 20 gauge steel with optional anodized aluminum.

    Roofing

Panel system - 4" thick 3-ply sandwich construction with facings of 26 gauge G90 hot-dip galvanized steel. Stucco embossed pattern. pre-painted with baked acrylic enamel. Thermal insulated foam with 2 lb. density.

Decking system - pre-painted ribbed steel. 30" wide interlocking panels sized to width of structure. One and one-half inch deep corrugation in 22 gauge panels 12' Greater widths are achieved with joists. rubber closure gaskets seal each end.

Ceiling - Mineral board suspended ceiling panels with industrial duty white enameled t-bar grid and hanging wires. 2'x4' acoustical panels are random fissure finished. Lay-in design allows indirect troffer lighting. Panels guaranteed for dimensional stability and are rated class A non-combustible.

New - Clean-Line ceiling tile which consists of a white steel face on a 2'x4' 1" thick polystyrene insulated backer.

Doors and Frames - Heavy Duty Steel doors are 3' x 7' x 1-3/4" thick and are finished to match panels. Factory pre-hung in panel to insure proper fit. One and one-half pair of 4-1/2" hinges are installed in a mortised frame. Door thresholds and stainless steel lock set are also provided.

Glass- Glazed panels are picture window type, assembled in the frame and located 41" from floor. Tempered glass is standard and options include laminated, insulated, Plexiglas or lexan. Full height, side sliding or single hung are also available.

Electrical - Vertical raceways can be assembled in posts for standard switches, duplex outlets and AC outlets in accordance with layout. 2'x4' lay-in troffer type light fixtures (less bulbs) are provided. Optional pre-wired WIRE-PAK system is available.

    2 HOUR FIRE RATED SYSTEM

National offers a certified 2-Hour Fire Rated System...the only partition of its kind available for industrial Hi-Wall applications. The perfect solution for separating personnel or expensive machinery from a potentially hazardous area yet still maintaining the relocatable advantage.

    TEST INFORMATION

Extensive testing was conducted by the Omega Point Laboratories and the following results were obtained:

"A 10' x 10' nonbearing wall assembly made up of three vertical, pre-manufactured sandwich panels produced, assembled and tested as described herein, successfully met the conditions of acceptance as outlined in ASTM METHOD 119-88 FIRE TESTS OF BUILDING CONSTRUCTION AND MATERIALS for a fire endurance rating of 2-HOURS." The procedure is identical or very similar to these standard methods: UL-263 UBC 43-1 NFPA 251 ANSI A2.1

    CONSTRUCTION SPECIFICATIONS

Panels are 2" x 4 11/16" x 16 gauge steel studs, 16" o.c. with a single layer on each side of 5/8" Type X gypsum wallboard and 26 gauge painted steel faces, attached with #10 wafer head "TEK" screws spaced 12" o.c. The stud cavities filled with 3 pcf rock wool insulation. Panels are connected to each other using a proprietary panel connection assembly consisting of 16 ga. steel post sections held together with 1/4" x 5" steel bolts, 20" o.c. with the cavity filled with 3 pcf rock wool insulation. A final section consisting of 5/8" Type X gypsum wallboard inside a steel feature piece attached with #8 x 1" S.M.S. screws on the centerline, 8" o.c. completes the connection.

NOTE: National has developed a fork lift attachment for lifting and setting these panels in place. This device makes the handling of these panels a two man operation, even though each panel may weigh in excess of 1,000 pounds.
